These cottages offer a tranquil environment within the confines of a working farm called Smailholm Mains. We are located near to Kelso on the Mellerstain Estate owned by the Earl of Haddington, in the beautiful border country of Scotland.

Smailholm Mains Farm is the ideal location to get away from the stresses of modern life and take in some stunning scenery. Everyone is welcome to walk round the spectacular surroundings and enjoy the sight and sounds of the countryside of the border country.

The town of Kelso has plenty of modern shops, restaurants, cafes and bars to visit. There is an ice rink in Kelso, as well as other entertainment venues. The surrounding area has plenty of small towns and villages to visit, such as Peebles, Melrose and St. Boswells. You might also want to pop over the border to Berwick upon Tweed, which is within a car journey of these holiday cottages in Scotland.

Tariffs range from £300 to £500 per week, depending on the time of year and whether you stay in Craggs or Jocks Cottages. Our price for shorter stays is £150.
