Saughs Farm and their wonderful Scottish Borders holiday cottages are located in the Bailey Valley in North Cumbria. Situated not far from the English and Scottish Borders, near the M74 and the north eastern England routes, Saughs Farm is spread over wide 110 acres of grass and conservation land where you can enjoy some of the most peaceful and unspoiled of landscapes.
The farm is bordered by the nearby Kershope Forest and the three traditional holiday cottages really blend timelessly with the wild and naturally beautiful farm surroundings.
At Saughs Farm, you can enjoy the natural beauty, and explore the local towns, but you can also experience a rather different kind of holiday if you are looking for one.
Horse holidays
Saughs Farm welcomes you to bring your horses and your ponies to help you enjoy a very unique and rural location holiday. There are a many endless all weather country trails and bridle paths that extend form local circular routes, to connecting routes that go as far as Kielder Forest. You can even bring your horse to take part in specially organised tuition, workshops, events, and residential clinics and take advantage of the excellent facilities on offer at Saughs Farm.
Mountain Biking Holidays
You can be sure to be near some fantastic routes for mountain biking when you stay with Saughs Farm, as nearby is the 7 stanes Newcastleton off road cycling trail, which is sure to give any mountain biking enthusiast a challenge. You will also be able to pick up the Cross Border trail that leads to Kielder, and the Reivers Cycle route from Newcastleton.
The holiday cottages at Saughs Farm are all self-catering and full traditional character. All holiday cottages are fully equipped to a high standard and each cottage is centrally heated with traditional wood burning stoves to give you extra added cosiness if you ever need it.
