Roxburgh Barns Cottages are situated in the beautiful and picturesque Scottish Borders, just two miles from the historic Market town of Kelso. Ideally located between the rivers Tweed and Teviot, these three comfortable and cosy self catering farm cottages are the perfect place for you to enjoy a relaxing break and a great base for exploring this stunning and popular area with its abundance of wild life, including deer, otters, heron and pheasant, as well as some of the best fishing in the world. The River Teviot is only a short walk from the cottages, where weekly fishing permits are available.
The Borders have so much to offer any visitor, with fantastic scenery on your doorstep, places of interest such as Floors Castle, Manderston, Traquair, Alnwick Castle and the historic town of Berwick upon Tweed all within easy reach.
All three Roxburgh Farm Cottages are tastefully decorated to the very highest standards and all have modern appliances as standard.
Keepers Cottage is the former home of a gamekeeper, and is quiet and peaceful, with a delightful cottage garden ideal for dining alfresco. There is a lovely sitting room with open fire. It can accommodate 4 people in a twin and double bedroom.
Teviot Cottage is named after the river which is only a stone's throw away. Weekly permits can be purchased for £10 per week for trout fishing on the river. This former farm workers cottage is tranquil and in an enviable setting. It can sleep 5 people, with a single room downstairs, and a twin and double upstairs. There is a sitting room with open fire, and downstairs, a dining kitchen and bathroom with power shower.
Tweed Cottage is named after the famous salmon river which is only a five minute walk away. It looks both north and south with wonderful views over the rolling Borders countryside. This is the middle of the 3 cottages, and has accommodation for 5 people - a single bedroom on the ground floor, and a twin and double upstairs. There is a dining kitchen and a sitting room with open fire, and bathroom with power shower and bath.
