The Fairways Cottages were built in 2004 and each cottage has a bedroom with two singe beds, along with a sofa in the lounge that can be converted into a double bed. The kitchens are fully equipped and all bed-linen, towels, heating and electricity is included. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available within the cottages at just a small charge. If you expect to arrive late, contact the owners in advance as they can provide you with breakfast cereals, bread, milk, tea/coffee, fruit juice and so on for a small charge to your bill.
Arrival dates are usually from Saturday to Saturday, but enquire if other bookings allow us to be flexible, and the cottages can sleep up to a maximum of 4 guests per cottage. All three Fairways Cottages are similar in their style and layout and are very close to many local restaurants within only a five minute walk if you just don't feel like cooking.
The cottages are less than 1 mile from Glasgow Prestwick International airport so a taxi to your cottage will be low cost, and the cottages are only a minute walk from Prestwick TOWN railway station. If you would like a trip out one day, nearby Troon operate a seasonal fast ferry service to Larne in Northern Ireland, and if you travel 30 minute away to Ardrossan, you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Arran which is noted for its wildlife, walking and climbing. Ayrshire attracts thousands of tourists each year partly due to its historic golf course where the first Open championship was held in 1860. Famous poet Robert "Rabbie" Burns was also born in Ayrshire in 1759. The new Burns museum in nearby Alloway has also become a major attraction for the area.
Whether it is holiday or business that brings you to Ayrshire, these fully-equipped and modern cottages will not disappoint you! Remember to book in advance as it is a hotspot for keen golfers!
